La Borinquena

LUNAR COLLECTION

What if you received something beautiful and unsolicited through the mail?

Celestial bodies, especially the moon, fascinate artist Yurko Gutsulyak. Using Lunar New Year as an annual opportunity to express gratitude to friends, colleagues, and fans, Gutsulyak embarked on a twelve-year greeting card project.  The exhibition Lunar Collection includes each of the twelve specially designed cards sent across the globe to hundreds of people.  Each unique design delights its recipient with a puzzle, a moment of wit and humor, or wishes for good luck in the upcoming year.

La Borinquena

ARTE DE LA BORINQUENA

2022

A celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
La Borinquena is an original character and patriotic icon that debuted in 2016 in an independently published graphic novel series created and written by Edgardo Miranda-Rodriguez.  Her superpowers are drawn from the history and mysticism of the archipelago Boriken (Puerto Rico) and the Tainos, its indigenous people.
