I've been at NCC for close to fifty years, first as a student, then as a coach and professor. Currently, I teach in the Criminal Justice Department, where I'm the Coordinator of the Fire Science and Emergency Management Program. Nassau Community College opened many doors for me, both as a student and as an adult.

I have countless fond memories of the College over the years. The first one would be being a member of the wrestling team as a student and then coming back as the wrestling coach. I'll never forget the great athletes and students I have known. I'm proud I was inducted into the Nassau Community College Hall of Fame and that I created the College's Fire Science and Emergency Management Program.

As a student, I was fortunate to be around coaches in several sports who mentored me. I'm also so grateful that Prof. Hunt, my history professor, encouraged me to finish my bachelor's degree, and for the entire staff of the College's Writing Center at the time. For me to accomplish all of this on the grounds of NCC -- where I began my college education -- has been amazing!

I served in the United States Navy in Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, II and at Camp Pendleton with the 5th Marines. I was also deployed to Okinawa, Japan twice. Stateside, I knew that Nassau Community College has a reputation for being very military friendly, and when I got here, it was true.

"I served in the United States Navy in San Diego from 2014 to 2021, first on the USS Harpers Ferry and then on the USS Rushmore. When it was time for me to attend college, I chose NCC because it's veteran friendly and offers many different programs.
