My name is Nick Gambella and I am a 2019 graduate of the Respiratory Therapy Program at NCC. I am currently working at Long Island Jewish and Cohen Children’s Medical Center. The best decision I ever made was going back to school at NCC for something I was truly passionate about, healthcare.

The program, along with the greatest professors in the world, helped me prepare for the current battle of COVID-19. The respiratory program as well as all the Allied Health Science programs produce the best healthcare professionals in New York.

There isn’t a day at work that I don’t think in the back of my head “what would my professor say about this”. It’s an honor to care for the children of the metropolitan area and an honor to be a graduate of NCC!

I served in the United States Navy in Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, II and at Camp Pendleton with the 5th Marines. I was also deployed to Okinawa, Japan twice. Stateside, I knew that Nassau Community College has a reputation for being very military friendly, and when I got here, it was true.
