I am currently working at New York Presbyterian Queens Emergency Room as an emergency service technician. My job responsibilities include drawing blood, doing EKGs as well as providing bedside care. I want to first off commend the hard work and dedication of nurses, doctors, respiratory therapists and other fellow health care workers during this COVID pandemic. Many of my coworkers have lost loved ones during this crisis while others have become ill themselves trying to assist patients.

My professors in Respiratory Therapy have been more than accommodating during this pandemic. They have provided me with the skills I need to become a proficient health care provider. Their guidance has shown me how to be resourceful in tough situations and to be kind to those who need us the most.

Stateside, I knew that Nassau Community College has a reputation for being very military friendly, and when I got here, it was true.
