Northwell Earn & Learn Program

Northwell Health Earn & Learn Medical Assistant Program in partnership with Nassau Community College.

Northwell Health and Nassau Community College (NCC) have formed a partnership to support Northwell entry-level candidates and existing Northwell team members in jump-starting a career to become a Medical Assistant. This cohort program is designed for any eligible candidates to work as a Medical Associate at a designated Northwell site, while taking classes at Nassau Community College under the Medical Assistant Certificate program for one year.  Northwell Health is providing a scholarship to Northwell Medical Associates who participate in the Earn & Learn program.

Upon successful completion, the team member will be promoted to a Medical Assistant position and commit to continuing their career journey at Northwell in this role for a minimum of one year.

The Earn & Learn program is a paid, one-year training program for candidates who:

• Have earned a state-endorsed high school diploma or HSE/TASC (formerly GED certificate)
• Complete enrollment as a NCC student, including successful completion of NCC required placement exam (if applicable)
• Provide an employment commitment to work as a Medical Assistant at Northwell for at least one year, post Medical Assistant certificate program completion
