Rob Rush is currently the Program Director for 94.3 The Shark and 103.1 MAX-FM. He's also the afternoon personality on 94.3 The Shark and midday personality on 104.7 WHLI. He remembers his days at WHPC fondly.
"I chose to attend NCC because it was close to home and a great place to figure out what path I wanted to choose in life. I saw a flyer on campus one day with former WHPC announcer Jim Douglas featured on it. I went down to the station, auditioned, and was there for over three years. My role at the station was as a DJ, then a part-time employee. My experience at WHPC was the best! Jim Green really ran the station as a professional shop. His methods gave the students the keys to learn the craft of radio with professional tools and professional advice from Jim and the employees. My most cherished memories are the fun I had with the staff, with whom I am still close!"

I served in the United States Navy in Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, II and at Camp Pendleton with the 5th Marines. I was also deployed to Okinawa, Japan twice. Stateside, I knew that Nassau Community College has a reputation for being very military friendly, and when I got here, it was true.
