"NCC was a smart choice for me because I wasn't really sure what my passion was. Nassau gave me a chance to figure it out while not having to carry the financial burden of switching my major should I want to make a change. I decided to major in Media Communications and Studio Recording Technology.
My experience working at WHPC, the College's radio station, has definitely prepared me for my future career. I feel confident that the skills I have learned will be attractive to other radio stations when I apply for internships and future jobs. I am particularly excited to have signed up for the Radio Production Course because this will no doubt enhance the studio production skills I have learned so far. Some of my favorite memories at Nassau so far have been the WHPC quad party we had last spring and the open mic night held by the Student Government Association.
After graduation, I plan on applying to local and national radio stations for more experience as I transfer to a four-year university to earn a bachelor's degree in media communications."

I served in the United States Navy in Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, II and at Camp Pendleton with the 5th Marines. I was also deployed to Okinawa, Japan twice. Stateside, I knew that Nassau Community College has a reputation for being very military friendly, and when I got here, it was true.

"I served in the United States Navy in San Diego from 2014 to 2021, first on the USS Harpers Ferry and then on the USS Rushmore. When it was time for me to attend college, I chose NCC because it's veteran friendly and offers many different programs.
