I served in the United States Army for four years. I wanted to expand my knowledge and felt that college was the right path to choose. I chose NCC because of its diverse educational offerings. It offers ample opportunities to explore different areas of study. My favorite memory at the College is an awards ceremony I took my brother to, to help him feel motivated.

Upon graduating from Nassau, I went to Vassar College as a recipient of a scholarship from the Posse Foundation. Now I'm the founder and CEO of IZANA, a company that redesigned and patented a new adaptable line of brassieres that are easier to use for women with mobility problems, such as amputees, mastectomy patients, shoulder injury patients, women with arthritis, etc."

I served in the United States Navy in Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, II and at Camp Pendleton with the 5th Marines. I was also deployed to Okinawa, Japan twice. Stateside, I knew that Nassau Community College has a reputation for being very military friendly, and when I got here, it was true.
