Banner Self-Service 9 - Student FAQs

Banner Self-Service 9 is an updated version of the Banner system with a new interface that is easier to use on desktop and mobile devices.

This is a visual and navigation update, not a system change.

The new interface will be available beginning May 21 – 22, 2026.

No action is required. The update will happen automatically. No account updates, downloads, or setup needed.

No. You will continue to log in the same way using your existing credentials.

You will continue to access Banner through:

• MyNCC portal

You will see:

• a redesigned layout
• updated menus and navigation
• improved mobile display

Yes. SSB9 is designed to work better on mobile devices.

No. Registration works the same way, though screens may look different.

No. All your information remains the same.

These will still be available in Banner, though menu labels or placement may be slightly different.

There may be brief interruptions during the transition window. Please plan accordingly and register or access your grades before or after May 21-22, 2026.
