Schedule Your Exam

  • New York does not charge a fee for the ged® exam. You only pay if you order additional fee-based review materials.
  • Schedule from 1 to all 4 subtests. You do not have to schedule all four subtests in a single sitting.
  • If you do not pass a subject, you must wait 60 days before re-scheduling that subject test.
  • You can test 3 times a year, on each subject.
  • There are multiple exam locations with varying availability for days, evenings and weekends.
  • Candidates that have previously passed TASC subtests, need to only test on the subject they did not pass. If you did not pass BOTH Reading and Writing under TASC, you must register for the Reasoning Through Language Arts (RLA*) exam.

If you require testing accommodations for the GED® exam, create an account, choose the appropriate option and proceed with your application (carefully follow the instructions). If you were previously approved by TASC for testing accommodations, you MUST submit a new request through GED®. A request for special accommodations will take approximately 3-4 weeks to be processed.
