The Nassau Community College Center for Catholic Studies Presents

The Present State of American Civilization and the Catholic Church in America 

 

April 11 

Garden City, NY – The Center for Catholic Studies at Nassau Community College will present The Present State of American Civilization and the Catholic Church in America on Saturday, April 11 at 11:00 a.m. in the multipurpose room of the College Center Building.

The conference will consist of two lectures. The first, by Rick Hinshaw, M.A., Editor of The Long Island Catholic Magazine, is titled "The Present State of American Civilization: A Catholic Critique." "The Present State of the Catholic Church in the United States: A Theological and Sociological Reflection" will be presented by Monsignor Robert Batule, M.A., S.T.L., a member of both the Society of Catholic Social Scientists and the Fellowship of Catholic Scholars.

The Present State of American Civilization and the Catholic Church in America is free, open to the public and accessible to the disabled.
