The Nassau Community College Biology Department promotes student success with challenging yet engaging courses that foster academic excellence and self-efficacy in addition to offering programs that prepare students for a career trajectory in the biological sciences, healthcare, and beyond.
Nassau Community College has the classes and the dedicated faculty who can help you find your way. The Biology Department provides a robust program designed to ease the student into the world of Biology and follows the SUNY Biology Transfer Path for easy transfer to other SUNY institutions. All of our laboratory courses satisfy the associate degree science requirement and biology courses can be used for elective credit.
The Biology Department also articulates with SUNY Binghamton and Buffalo University 2+4 PharmD early assurance agreement that allows students to transfer seamlessly from Nassau Community College to these SUNY universities to attain their PharmD degree, a professional doctorate in Pharmacy.
