For Immediate Release – September 10, 2015
Garden City, NY — On Friday at 8:30 am, Nassau Community College will commemorate the events of September 11, 2001 with a ceremony on the College's campus. The ceremony will take place at the Rose Garden adjacent to the memorial wall, which is down the steps from the College's plaza. During the event, members of the campus community will join together and pay our respects to those who suffered loss on that day. The observance is an opportunity for the College community to reflect on what transpired fourteen years ago and its continuing meaning. In the event of inclement weather, the location will be switched to the multipurpose room of the College Center Building.
