Presents the Open Competition Speak Memory

Who: The Firehouse Plaza Art Gallery at Nassau Community College

Where: The gallery is located Room 140 of the plaza level in the College Center Building.

Why: Speak Memory explores the concept of memory. Memories can tie us to a time or a place, identify us with a culture, or define us as part of a community.The juror for Speak Memory will be Lester Burg, who serves as the Senior Manager for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority's Arts for Transit and Urban Design program. This program commissions permanent art projects for New York Subway and commuter railway stations.All Firehouse Plaza Art Gallery exhibitions are free and open to the public.
