Nassau Community College Presents

Young People and the Future of the Long Island Economy 

December 4 Martin Cantor

Garden City, NY – Nassau Community College is pleased to present the cultural program Young People and the Future of the Long Island Economy with speaker Martin Cantor, director of the Long Island Center for Socio-Economic Policy (download hi res photo). The program will take place on Wednesday, December 4 at 9:30 a.m. in Room 252/253 of the College Center Building.In addition to his duties as director of the Long Island Center for Socio-Economic Policy, Dr. Cantor has been Chief Economist of the Long Island Development Corporation, a consultant to the Nassau Interim Financial Authority (NIFA), and Director of Economic Development for Sustainable Long Island, among many other positions. He has been quoted as saying, "We led the country in creating the suburbs and now the country is leading us...and we are sitting around just watching."Young People and the Future of the Long Island Economy is sponsored by NCC's Cultural Program.
