November 3, 2023 Garden City, NY – Nassau Community College football fans were out in force at Mitchel Athletic Complex as the Lions roared to a 23-7 Homecoming win over the Hudson County Community College Vikings. Fans enjoyed an unusually warm October 28th Saturday as the Lions took the lead in the first quarter on a field goal by Thomas Zabransky and never looked back.
Yardin Gazit’s 22-yard touchdown pass to Andre Mottas and Zabransky’s extra point increased the Lions lead to 10-0 at the half. Hudson did put up 7 points in the third quarter, but the Lions responded with touchdowns by Gazit and Zachary Mitchell in the fourth quarter to secure the win. The Lions continue their 2023 campaign against Louisberg College in Virginia on November 4, 2023.
Nassau Lions’ head coach is Jamel Ramsay, who was both a player and a coach on the university level for the LIU Post Pioneers.
