Who:  Prof. Masaki Sato, who was a human resources officer for United Nations peacekeeping operations for over 25 years.

What:  Prof. Sato will speak about United Nations peacekeeping operations in Haiti.

When:  Monday, April 9, at 2:00 p.m.

Where:  Room 252/253 of the College Center Building on the campus of Nassau Community College

Why:  During his 25 years as a human resources officer for United Nations peacekeeping operations, NCC Prof. Sato traveled to many places where "ordinary" people are not allowed. What are the differences between the UN's and private charities' approaches to sustainable development?
