Mission

To collect, analyze, organize and effectively communicate data and information in a timely manner that supports institutional decision-making to actualize and fulfill the College’s mission.

Goals

1. Increase the availability and use of qualitative and quantitative data to support decision-making and strategic planning across the college.
2. Provide timely information to decision makers and planners as they direct and allocate resources that support the institution’s mission and strategic priorities.
3. Collect, store, maintain, and disseminate institutional information as a means to promote work and dialogue pertaining to student learning and student success.

Support Outcomes

1. Create PaSS workspaces for at least 50% of administrative and educational support (AES) departments/units with their goals and outcomes
2. Conduct an audit of PaSS academic and AES workspaces and to provide utilization feedback to departments/units
3. Improve and streamline academic program data for program review.
4. Update and relaunch the College’s Fact Book
5. Develop and launch first iteration of institutional dashboard

Essential Functions

Assessment
Lead assessment activities of faculty, administrators and staff, to ensure these actions are aligned with the college and SUNY’s mission and strategic plan.

Data governance
Support institutional practices that enhance the college’s data infrastructure.

Data management
Ensure data accuracy, quality and availability.

Decision support
Provide data and analysis to internal stakeholders to foster a culture of evidence-based decision-making.

External reporting and compliance
Maintain compliance with federal, state and other regulatory bodies.

Institutional effectiveness
Establish and maintain a system of institutional effectiveness that promotes continuous improvement and sustainability.

Research
Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to support key institutional priorities.

Strategic planning
Support strategic planning efforts through metrics development, measurement, and communication of progress.
