The NEST-Food Assistance

Psychological Counseling Center

The Coronavirus epidemic has forced students to make rapid changes in their lives which can be extremely stressful. The unknown and lack of predictability of our circumstances is leaving many anxious. NCC’s Psychological Counseling Center continues to be available to students during this time.

  • Therapists are providing services remotely
  • Calls made to our center will be forwarded to one of our therapists off-campus who will ensure they will receive a response

SUNY Blackboard Support

The Open SUNY Helpdesk provides technical support with Blackboard via telephone, web, chat, and email. The Open SUNY Support Services HelpDesk provides primary support for Blackboard. Current students, faculty, and campus staff may contact us for any questions specifically related to online courses on the colleges Blackboard website.

SUNY-New Student Resources for the Transition to Online or Remote Instruction

A New Student Focused Website

A website has been put together by the SUNY Online team that includes: Resources for Success in Your Online Course; Resources for Active Military and Veteran Students; Mental Health, Nutrition, and Technology Resources; as well as links to the Support Guides for Working with Blackboard, brightspace, Canvas, and Moodle.

Drop-in Support for Students Available Now

SUNY has organized live, drop-in, sessions via Collaborate to assist students with the transition to remote course instruction and provide students with another resource for questions about online/remote course delivery, successful strategies for participation, encouragement to engage, and even to address fears/concerns. Sessions will be staffed by SUNY personnel familiar with how to quickly address common student questions about participation in online/remote courses, connect students with technical support for remote access to their courses, and point them to appropriate campus resources.

Available for students to submit essays and other writing assignments for review and commentary by a select staff of tutors proficient in e-tutorial practices.
